Ards Cycling Club was founded in 1944, and 2019 is our 75th anniversary. To celebrate this major milestone we’ve got some great events planned throughout the year. |29 April||Film Show. Wonderful Losers – a different world. Tudor Cinema, Comber at 7.00pm.|
|May||Weekend away – the early May bank holiday weekend at Warrenpoint.|
|19th June||Town Centre races. In addition to our normal events, we’re hoping to add a four station team pursuit, and demonstration events for tandems and penny farthings|
|23 June||Journey to the source of the Lagan. A new sportive style event from the mouth of the Lagan in Belfast to the source on the slopes of Slieve Croob. Two routes are available – 75km to the source (with a lift back to the start by bus) or 75 miles for the full return journey.|
|3rd Aug||Club Bar-b-que.|
|11th Aug||Champion of Champions 25 mile time trial. Possible guest rider.|
|Sept||2nd film Show. Details to be confirmed.|
|19th Oct||Black tie event with Sean Kelly and Cold Comfort. Includes our prize night. La Mon House Hotel. Tickets £35.|
All current members, past members and friends of the club are welcome to join us at these events.
