Barry accepts the McFarlane Trophy from club President James

The club’s end of year Bash was held at Roma’s on Saturday evening, and it was a great chance to enjoy some good food, present some prizes and have some fun. Many thanks to Stephen, Heather, Liz, Darren and team for organising a very enjoyable evening.

Paul picked up the “most helpful” and “most mechanicals” awards from chairman Darren

Stuart had to get a box to carry all his trophies home. And he also won the inaugural Inter Club League.

Deidre was delighted with her “best road captain” award.

After the prize giving, there was a quiz, with “All the presidents men” taking a well deserved win.

And a reminder, in addition to our regular club runs we have the following events coming up.

  1. The club Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 29th November at 7pm in Londonderry Park. This is your chance to hear how the club is doing, decide what we should get up to next year, and vote for the officials who will help us get there. Here’s a report from last years AGM to give you a flavour of what to expect.
  2. The Club Christmas Fry Run on 17th December – details to follow, but it is looking like Saints and Sinners in Donaghdee. Here’s some picture’s from the 2021 run.
  3. And the Christmas 10 mile time trial will be on Christmas morning at 10am on the Portaferry Road. This is another great social event – check out last year’s report here.

Don’t miss them!
