January is a great time to start planning your cycling activities for the year. There’s lots of information on setting goals and working to achieve them on the club coaching pages here (or under “Coaching” in the “About us” menu at the top of the page).
Club runs are core to most cycling activity, and give you a chance to build up skills in group riding as well as gain fitness. They’re also great fun! Ards Cycling Club has a variety of club runs for different capabilities – the full list is here (or under “Club Runs” in the “Club Events” menu at the top of the page).
We also run a series of club and open races. The calendar will be published in a couple of months time, but you can get a feel for what to expect from last year’s calendar here (or under “Club Races” in the “Club Events” menu at the top of the page).
Note – for all club runs and races, you’ll need a licence to give you suitable insurance cover. Existing members should have received emails from the club and from Cycling Ireland about renewing their membership. New members should contact the club here (or under the “Contact” link at the top of the page). It’s also worth following us on Facebook (see the “Forum” menu at the top of the page) for any updates on club runs, and other events the club may be taking part in.
Set yourself some targets now, and go for it in 2022 🙂
