The club is delighted to announce that we’ve once again got Ards and North Down Borough Council support to close Newtownards one way system for town centre racing on the evening of Wednesday 18th June. Formation Works and Jubilee Veterinary Centre have also come on board as event sponsors. And as an added bonus, the event will also be the Cycling Ulster Championship Criterium this year. Entry to the races is now open here . Participants in the children’s fun event can register on the night, and don’t need to enter in advance.
The course is shown below, together with the location of public carparks. A lap is almost exactly 1 kilometre.
The provisional time table for the evening is as follows, but races may be split or merged and timings may change depending on the number of entries received.
Women and Juniors will be included in their C1/C2/C3 category.
The top 3 riders in each category will be identified for the Cycling Ulster Criterium Championships with those prizes awarded at the Cycling Ulster Awards evening.
