Some good news – time to start focused speed training again!

20190514-6

Following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, Ards CC hope to commence club races from 21st July. The proposed calendar is shown below, but there is a lot more work to do in the next couple of weeks to confirm this plan.

Cycling Ireland has issued guidelines on how club time trials should be run. We are waiting to see how Cycling Ulster interprets this, and if they will issue any additional guidelines.

The club is also looking for new time keepers. If you’re interested, please contact the club secretary (Deidre at ardscyclingclub@yahoo.com)

Please check back here, or on our facebook page, for more details in the next couple of weeks.

Riders will be called to the start line in order, and will be expected to maintain an orderly, socially distanced queue.

Due to social distancing there will be no pusher off. Riders will have to start with one foot on the floor. Good news for Andrew Chivers (Ciclotel) then…
