David Fowler (Northern – Dave Kane) won tonight’s five mile time trial on the Donaghadee Road with a super fast time of 11:17. Ards riders Richard Topping and Graeme Brown also both broke the 12 minute barrier for the first time, with Richard going slightly faster and also improving by the bigger margin on handicap.
The first 5 mile time trial of the season was cancelled, so the committee will need to decide if the 5 mile handicap cup should be awarded this year or not, given that just one 5 mile time trial has been run. The club rules are a bit vague on this point, but it would be a bit of a waste not to present the trophy….
