<Report from Bernard McCloskey>

The inaugural Ards Cycle Club Women’s run took place today, Saturday, September 5th. Twenty- three intrepid women undertook the run from Comber Square along the Comber Greenway to the Titanic Quarter and back. A very enjoyable time was had by all. The run was designed for all levels of ability and kept to a steady pace over the 18 mile route along the Greenway and down to the Cast & Crew cafe/restaurant in the Titanic Quarter. There was a great atmosphere among the participants, helped by the good weather on the day. Everyone involved completed the distance and commented on how much they enjoyed the run and that they would be keen to do it again. Always a good sign! Our plan is to make this a regular event on Saturday mornings, meeting at Comber Square at 9.30am. Our thanks to club stalwarts Joyce, Gwen, Jennifer and Hez for their invaluable support and to the guides for the day, Colin, Gavin, Paul C, Paul McM, Richard, Chris and Bernard.
