The rain held off for this evening’s 10 mile time trial at Millisle, and there was a gentle head wind on the return leg, but a few riders got delayed slightly by the traffic in Ballywalter.

Andrew Hedley (AHC Racing) was fastest with 21:48, taking just over a minute out of Stuart Millar (Ards CC) in second. Barry Mitchell (Ards CC) was a further minute back in third, a remarkable performance given his Audax exploits at the weekend.

The committee decided that the 10 mile time trial in the Inter Club League 10 on 25th April should not count towards the 10 mileĀ  handicap cup (because riders were encouraged to ride road bikes rather than time trial bikes). This means there are just two qualifying 10s in this year’s competition – the race on 6th June and tonight’s race. The final standings are shown below, with three riders tying for the win – Ben Healey, Dean Bradley and Stuart Millar.
