It may have been damp this evening, but it definitely wasn’t slow with most riders improving by about two minutes compared to the last 10k at the start of April. Fastest was Andrew Hedley (Ards CC) with 12:26, just getting the better of visitor Michael David Boyd (unattached), with Barry Mitchell (Ards CC) pipping Marc Allen (Ards CC) for the final podium spot.

In the battle for handicap points, it was Joseph Giles who improved the most to take the 10 points, well clear of Kevin Briggs in second. In third spot was Marc Allen, and combined with his handicap win at the first 10k, that gives him the lead in the 10k handicap cup at the half way point.
