How many cows in the garden of 13 Cuan Farm?
Tuesday evenings are normally reserved for club races, but on the 10th August we’ve got a more social event that will suit all our members – a Trail Quest. It’s a bit like a cross between orienteering and a treasure hunt.
Riders are given a map with a number of points plotted on it. There’s a question at each point that you need to answer. The idea is to get round as many points as possible within the time limit.
What colour is the letter box at number 18?
Riders can compete individually or in teams (note – a team must ride together, and not split up). We’re hoping to base the event at Eden Pottery (between Carrowdore and Millisle), and there will be lots of points available around the quiet roads of the peninsula. The skill is to pick the most efficient route, while still getting back to the finish within the time limit.
We’ll be publishing more details here and on Facebook over the next couple of weeks, so keep a look out for that. It promises to be great fun for all the family.
