After all the excitement on the Portaferry Road on Sunday morning, it was back to normal for tonight’s 10k straight in time trial. In warm conditions with a light side wind, Ian Inglis (Kinning) was fastest with a very tidy 13:13. In second place, and first Ards CC rider, was recently crowned Ulster 10 mile M60 champion Ivan Robinson, making a rare appearance on the Portaferry Road to record 13:52. And in a repeat of last week, the results were again very close with less than a minute covering the next 10 riders, reflecting the rising standard in club time trials.
Thanks as always to the time keepers and marshals. It’s a road race in Carrowdore next week – click here for more details of our remaining club races, and how to enter. It’s hard to believe we’re already half way through our reduced calendar, so don’t miss out if you want to take part this year.
