The first club road race on the new Ballygowan circuit was very popular with 49 riders signing on. Winner was Gareth Conn (Curran), followed by Harmon McBride (Curran), Gareth Boyle (NDCC), Barry Greer (Kinning), Ian McClure (Northern) and Stephen Watty (NDCC).
In the battle for the Ards CC Road Race handicap trophy, Willy Gill takes an early lead.
