The provisional Ards Cycling Club 2024 events calendar has now been published – click here, or follow the link in the “Club Events” menu above. There are still a few dates and courses to confirm but hopefully there won’t be any major changes.
Everyone is welcome (both Ards CC members, and those from other clubs). We especially welcome those new to racing. Ards CC has one of the best club racing programmes in Ulster, and the calendar of events is designed to help you develop and improve. Check out this link from a couple of years ago for more details on our club races and associated competitions and time trial standards.
The calendar also includes our big open events, including the Tour of Ards (16th March), the Town Centre Races (12th June), the Champion of Champions 25 (11th August) and the Tour of Strangford (8th September). We always need lots of help to run these showcase events, so if you’re not taking part please volunteer 🙂
The Inter Club League with our friends in North Down CC will continue following the success of last year’s inaugural events.
We’ve also introduced some new courses this year –
- A 10 mile time trial course from Glastry to Cloughy
- A 10 mile time trial course from the Saltwater Brig to Portaferry
- A 25 mile course based at Glastry
- And a new Road Race course based at Glastry.
