It was another windy evening in Millisle with a strong onshore breeze slowing the riders on the outward leg of tonight’s 10 mile time trial. Fortunately the rain just about held off..
Andrew Hedley powers out of the turn in Ballywalter
Fastest, and the only rider to beat the 25mph barrier, was Andrew Hedley in a solid time of 23:39. Second was Peter Doggart on 24:15, with Ben Healey third on 24:34 (in spite of, or maybe because of, a 35 mile warm up this afternoon). The rest of the field were all tightly bunched, with less that 2 minutes covering 10 riders.
Thanks as always to the time keepers and marshals. Don’t forget the Champion of Champions 25 this Sunday on the Portaferry Road. First rider is off at 9:31, and there is plenty of space on the course for socially distanced spectators. And next Tuesday’s club race is also on the Portaferry Road – a straight in 10k.
