Fast night for final club 5

admin   August 28, 2018   Comments Off on Fast night for final club 5

Condition were fast this evening for the final 5 mile time trial of the club season. Adam Skeet (Northern) broke the course record with 10:47, and a further 5 riders dipped under the 12 minute barrier.

In the Ards CC battle for handicap points, James Lemon had the biggest improvement, but Alan Rodgers was second and wins the 5 mile handicap trophy.

Thanks to the timekeepers, marshals and pusher off. There’s just one more club race this season – the classic climb of Bradshaw’s Brae next Tuesday. Sign on in Kiltonga duck pond car park, with first rider off at 6.30pm. End your season on a high!

Finally, I made an error in Colin Wilson’s time for the Champion of Champions – it should have been 1:08:16 and not 1:06:16.  It’s corrected now here, along with a small change to the final 25 mile handicap cup standings.
