Dany Blondeel won Volunteer of the Year at the Cycling Ireland annual awards night in Dublin yesterday. The report on stickybottle.com said, “Dany has been one of the unsung heroes of Irish cycling for many years and his dedication to developing young riders by assisting them with racing and accommodation in Belgium was given due recognition.”

This award follows closely after he was made an honorary member of Ards CC at the AGM last week, and is richly deserved. Well done Dany, wife Maggie and everyone else who helps out with the Belgium project!
