Ards Cycling Club regret that they have had to cancel this year’s Champion of Champions 25 mile time trial. Due to a combination of road works and calendar availability it has not been possible to find a suitable date. Apologies for any disappointment. Hopefully it will return bigger and better next season.
Stuart Millar confirmed his position as the club’s top climber with a storming ride up Bradshaw’s Brae this evening. In spite of a brisk head wind, he broke the 4 minute barrier with a time of 3:54, just 9 seconds down on last year’s wind assisted record ride . Entry for our annual Tour of Strangford Sportive is now open – Ards CC Tour of Strangford charity sportive 2023 – Buy Tickets (eventmaster.ie). There are the usual 50 and 80 mile routes, with a lunch stop in Portaferry, and we’re once again raising money for the Ards and North Down Samaritans.
