After the cancellation of last week’s season opener, there was a great turnout of 31 riders for tonight’s circuit time trial on the Comber-Ballygowan course. Fastest was regular visitor Paul Crossan (Killinchy) who just dipped under 12 minutes with a superfast 11:57. We spring forward an hour into British Summer Time this weekend and that can only mean one thing for cycling fans – the start of the Ards CC club race calendar! In particular it commented on the number of static and mobile marshals who helped to make the race safe, and on the great spread of food after the event.
