With some riders taking a rest after the Gran Fondo at the weekend, just 9 brave soles faced the time keeper for tonight’s Scrabo hillclimb. Conditions were warm, with a tailwind helping on the final haul up to the finish line.

Fastest was visitor Thomas Michalski (XMTB) with 5:22. First Ards man was Geoff Brennan on 5:30, with Barry Mitchell just five seconds further back and adding a hillclimb feather to a cap that already has feathers for time trialling and crit racing this year!
